Small Art, Big Party

I donated this piece for Art Wellesley’s Small Art, Big Party. Art Wellesley makes art-centered events happen in their community. It was a fun evening of catching up with old friends and other participating artists. And I had the honor of meeting some of the peeps behind all the awesome work. Wellesley is lucky to have this group of dedicated individuals.
I was amused that the painting I made ended up being about some of my favorite things; white birches, stone walls, wildflowers and farm ponds. It’s not that I intended to paint a landscape, it’s what came up in the process of making. We all have things in us that need expression. It’s an important thing this artmaking. :)
